Ambient ghost music with periodic beats? A film soundtrack for a non-existent movie? Wonky classical? The worst cover design in the history of album art? Yes, yes, yes and (we think) yes.

Just who are “Bevels and Dropshadows” exactly – and who is that man on the inside cover of their EP? Well, we don’t *really* know – but what we do know is that we love their music, and that this EP sounds great on headphones at work. The duo of Pellentesque Tempor and Fringilla Eget (both reportedly hailing from the Mediterranean island of Malta) have crafted a heady mix of atmospherics, blissfully naive melodies, old school beats, and wrapped them in an awkward yet enticingly polished sheen. There’s even a Bonus Beats track for all the DJ’s to rawk out with. We like this a lot, and hope you will too.
